GxP does not forgive late thinking. Inspectors want a validated system, an audit trail of who did what, when and why, electronic signatures, and original records preserved (ALCOA+). If the audit trail and the validation are bolted on after go-live, you pay for it twice: once in the project and once when the inspector arrives.
